Dr. Scharf believes that your right to choose a dentist is an important freedom. We work closely as a team with your referring dentist, but a referral by a dentist is not required for a visit to our office. We welcome new patients from our existing patients, friends and the community.

Dr. Scharf teaches periodontics and dental implants, has published articles on these on topics and has lectured nationally and internationally. Dr. Scharf places dental implants and provides "Teeth in a day" and "Teeth in an hour" for immediate tooth restoration. Dr. Scharf treats gum disease nonsurgically and when necessary, surgically. He has the leading nonsurgical treatment program on Long Island. Fixing gummy smiles, covering long roots, regenerating bone destroyed by periodontal disease, and extracting teeth in anticipation of implant placement are all services that benefit our patients.
When he is not helping his patients Dr. Scharf is enjoying his 3 children and wife of 20 years. Dr. Scharf serves as a volunteer fireman, emergency medical technician and plays drums is a classic rock band.
