Reaching out to help people began early for Dr. DeWitt. After graduating from Northeastern Illinois University, he taught school for several years while working towards his Masters degree in special education. In order to reach people on a more all encompassing personal level he chose to attend and graduate form Loyola University School of Dentistry.

Post graduate education included a hospital internship at Westlake Hospital in Illinois working with plastic and oral surgeons. His focus was restoring form and function to physically and mentally challenged patients from State of Illinois facilities. He expanded his expertise by becoming a clinical professor at Loyola and contributing to and co-authoring a number of books and articles during his 16 years of teaching.

His love affair with cosmetic dentistry grew stronger after attending multiple symposiums and courses where he fine tuned his techniques. “There is true joy participating in and contributing to my patients’ happiness and newly found confidence.”

Doctor DeWitt’s quest for improvement is never ceasing and his membership in 13 major dental associations provides ample advanced educational opportunities. To date Dr. DeWitt has even explored dental practices in London, France, and Italy. His own personal energy compels him to seek out all possible educational venues for the benefit of his patients.
