Neuromuscular Dentistry
The relationship between your teeth and your jaws, jaw muscles, and the rest of your head is an important, but often overlooked one. Neuromuscular dentistry treats not only the teeth, but the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) muscles, jaws, and other related components as well.
Dr. Bassiri treats patients with TMJ pain, headaches, dizziness, and other problems related to the neuromuscular system of the head, neck, face, and jaws. We offer a full range of biomedical technology designed to help us re-establish a healthy relationship between your dental structures.
TMD Therapy
Dr. Bassiri offers the latest treatments to alleviate pain as a result of TMD. TMD, or temporomandibular disorder, results from problems with the TMJ, or temporomandibular joint. TMD was once a condition which was somewhat difficult to diagnose and treat. Now, thanks to current research, new therapies have been developed to treat TMD, including splinting, mouthguards, biofeedback, and other techniques. You will need a complete evaluation to determine which method of treatment is best for you.

Periodontal Disease Treatment
Gum disease left untreated can end up costing you an exorbitant amount of dental work. We treat periodontal disease thoroughly and comprehensively, as soon as possible, to prevent difficult situations for our patients down the road.
We will remove diseased gum tissue with a special laser, and treat the gum pocket with antibiotics to eliminate bacteria. This effective procedure prevents the bacterial infection of the gums from spreading, and allows new tissue to attach to the tooth structure.
